I agree, in my experience it's rare to buy equipment this old boxed (whereas if I bought a digital camera used I'd expect it to be boxed, even if used). I did purchase a Spotmatic II recently which although fairly well used was boxed, which I for the first time really appreciate. it's mostly plain white, nothing compared to this Pentax macro box, but I love the front- and side-view illustrations of the camera on it.

I agree, it's a beautiful design and having never seen one before, it didn't occur to me that it would be so colourful!
