Full Frame Wide Angle Lens List--20mm and Under

I am (like a lot of people) interested in wide angle lenses for the K-1. Specifically by the definition of how I am using the word, this means 20mm and under. I also DO NOT want to include lenses that are designed for crop sensors but 'may work' on a FF camera.

I am specifically looking for lenses designed to be used on FF. Hopefully we can get some participation here so we can build up this list.

The only two AF lenses that I know of are the:

FA20mm
15-30mm zoom

As far as I know everything else is all MF.

There are Bowers, Samyang, Irix, but I don't know any others or even the specifics of the lenses out there. Any help would be appreciated. I see this as an ongoing project and I am pretty sure I am not the only one interested in this subject.

Here are all Pentax lenses <= 20mm that work on FF. There are a few more AF options.

I have the older Sigma 12-24mm DG, and it does the job - with autofocus. Image quality is as good as the FA20-35, I find, and better than the FA18-35 (I have both of those too!)

I also find the DA12-24 works well after 17mm, Alamo, you seem quick to rule out these APS-C sorts in your OP.

I wouldn't be so hasty - its design and coatings are newer than many of the FA style lenses.

I also have the Voigtlander 20mm f3.5 pancake ... but it's MF, of course.

I have a Sigma 20mm f1.8 EX DG Aspherical which is Ok (my copy). It would be very good if top right wasn't very soft at wider apertures (uneven or poor corner is a common problem with these lens unfortunately) - that said its in my bag most of the time.
For close up its brilliant and for landscape its good if its stopped down to say f11

Anyway mentioned it because its a pretty cheap option (and if you are lucky to get a very good copy excellent by some reports).

The Laowa 12/2.8 is in the "A few other options" link from Adam's post above but I think it should get straight up mention here because it's a great lens that I have been enjoying thoroughly. I prefer primes and chose it over the Irix options for the filter adapter.

I also have FA20/2.8 and SMC Tak 20/4.5.

I've been using a SMC Pentax-FAJ 13-35mm for about 7 years now, primarily on 35mm film, and it really is a surprisingly good lens.
Here's a Flickr album of my photos from it,

There's also the Sigma 20-40/2.8 if you want AF.

The Tokina 17mm/3.5 is MF but at these focal lengths hyperfocal is easy. It's sharper than most lenses under 20mm if you get a good copy, but the flare resistance & colours aren't as good IMO.

After a recent poll I performed based on 100 Pentax k1 users 57% users voted the dfa 15-30 as their preferred UWA lens, while 27% voted the irix 15mm. Other votes insignificant to mention. Hope that this info is useful in your choice of lens.

There are two versions of the Tokina 20-35mm zoom, which are full frame AF lenses.

AF:
Sigma options mentioned above. Not sure about Tamron and Tokina stuff
FA 20mm
FA 20-35mm
FA J 18-35mm
DFA 15-30mm

MF:
Irix 11mm, 15mm, Laowa (12mm, 15mm macro), Voigtlander 20mm, Zeiss ZK and m42 mount (18mm, 21m? not sure, but many high end lenses over the years), Samyang 14mm and 20mm (Samyang makes lots of UWA lenses, high quality optics, but check that it is FF because some are APSC. Samyang also sells rebades under Rokinon, Bower and other names)

The reason people are mentioning MF UWA lenses is that you often don't need AF when shooting with such wide lenses. I use Samyang 14mm on APSC camera and hardly ever touch the focusing ring. Just set camera to Av mode, f5.6+ and you have enough DoF for hyperfocal. Only adjust when subject comes within 40cm of lens, which is rare
