Need a lens for airsoft games

Hey guys!
Hope all is well.
Well I need a one-can-do-all lens to use while playing airsoft.
I need a workhorse to be precise.
I suppose WR is a must.
What do you suggest i pick up?

I don't want to use my primes as i am afraid to damage them.

18-135 is WR, reliable and takes fine images. Corners are soft, but should not matter for this.

2nd hand copies are reasonably cheap, so less worry about wrecking it.

Corners are soft from about 70mm on. For 20-50mm it's either excellent or very good across the frame. Centre sharpness is always excellent at ƒ5.6, throughout the whole zoom range. Plus it's rugged, fast focusing and light to carry.

You could also go for something cheaper; not sure what your focal length requirements are. But the 18-55 WR is a pretty cheap lens, if there is a concern/risk of the lens being damaged.

Maybe also use a protective filter in any case -- something I don't do in general, but I would in this type of situation.
