Have any lenses gone down in price since the K-1?

I remember a time when lens prices were climbing, quite rapidly in some cases. Sale prices were simply momentary returns to pre-increase prices. What kind of effect has the release of the K-1 had on lens prices? Have any come down because manufacturing volume increased?

Go up to " lenses "

Follow the pull down menu to what you want

Check review

There is a chart showing price changes over time

They've mostly gone up - some considerably - in the UK - but some of that at least is due to drop in value of the GBP after Brexit vote, so it's difficult to disentangle just what's going on

Lenses like the FA 20-35 you can't even find anymore. I used to see them regularly before the K-1 came out.

In the US most new lenses are selling toward the lower end of the price range. The "ludicrous" prices we saw after the price hike a couple of years ago are long gone.

I've noticed that higher end crop sensor designed lenses, such as the DA* lenses, are generally acquirable at quite reasonable prices in the used market of late.

I'm not sure if that's down to users moving to FF or the SDM issues... or something else entirely.

In europe, prices are still above the time of the increase.

There's always an copy available at eBay. Currently six copies (one EU, five JP).
