Samyang 14 vs 16mm

Hi everyone, I'd like to buy a wide angle lens and I was thinking about one between samyang 14mm or 16mm. Which one is the best for you? Have you got any other advice?
I have a pentax ks2 but in a remote future, when I'm enough good, I wanna buy a ff.

Thanks

There's some info here:
Another Samyang 14mm vs 16mm thread - PentaxForums.com

While the 14mm is FF compatible, its FF performance is borderline, so I'd personally recommend the 16mm.

For FF the 24mm F1.4 is a stellar performer, or you can get the Irix 15mm F4 if you want to go wider.

But the 16mm has even less FF coverage.

I'm thinking that Adam was referring to optical performance, perhaps sharpness and distortions at the FF edges ....? I believe the 14mm does cover the complete FF circle.

The Samyang 14/2.8 is as good as it gets for a FF f2.8 UWA at 14mm and this type of cost.

Yes, there is distortion, but its usually not very apparent in most shots (and taken care of quite a bit with a lens profile).
Its sharp to the edges at f11/f16.

You've handled those verticals really well .... are these automatic corrections or did you need to work manually in software? I'm one step closer to going FF now I know I perhaps don't need to worry so much about my Samyang 14mm for architecture! Certainly the use case for such a wide angle favours stopping down mostly .... the use case for images shot at f2.8 or f4.0 is surely rather limited?

But it's better on crop, hence my rcommendation.

There is now an official profile in Lightroom, and before that, I used one that was created by other users on the web (for Nikon FF, which is the same imo).

For cityscapes, it can be a problem if one does look out for it, but as shown, its not that apparent to be instantly 'fisheye'
For more natural landscapes, I find that the distortion is not relevant at all.

f2.8 is handy and I feel that its sharp enough centrally.
