I love this lens also.
Although the one I got had back focus issue in the beginning, everything works fine after Sigma's adjustments.
Here are some of my shots with this lens:

There are some great shots in this thread!

For those of you that have sent lenses back, what's the proper procedure for doing this?
Do you need to provide Sigma with photos showing the problems with your lens?

Excellent landscapes frogger! Really like the first one. The colors of the water there has this magical greenish/blue hue which just pleases my eye. We got lotsa nice lakes here in Finland but none have this kind of magic color when looked at high above the lakebed.

Okay so here goes my case:

First I contacted the shop which sold me this lens (was a C.O.D. order), had a talk with the shopkeeper and provided him few test pics. The shopkeeper agreeded that there is a problem and gave me telephone number of the finnish Sigma importer's service department. I just called the service people and they told me to mail the lens to their address with a short summary of the problem and the receipt of purchase (copy is enough) and they'll take care about the rest.

Lens is going to be mailed today. Will inform what's happening in the future in my other sigma thread.

Damnit, this thread has just re-opened my desire to make this my next lens...and I was trying to avoid this feeling for a while longer!
