I recently received this lens as a gift from a friend and I was wondering if someone could tell me how to make my K10D show me the exposure level when this old lens is in use. It is firmware 1.1 and will not read the f-stop from the lens, therefore I have no exposure scale. Is this something that I just have to live with on the older lenses or is there something I can do? Thanks for the help!

i'm not sure which particular lens you're referring to.
if it's a Pentax-A series lens, then it should be able to use the full Auto Exposure functions of the body as long as you set the Aperture Ring to "A" mode

use the depth-of-field preview (set to optical, not digital)
the metering will work for as long as you are holding the preview lever
