The 11mm Irix f4 Blackstone

FedEx just dropped this off, here's a couple quick straight out of the camera(s) JPEG's

This thing does shoot wide on the K-1, taken in our birds room, from where the photo is taken to the closet door is 7ft. Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow, so will have to wait until Sunday to really try it out.

That's is wide , I have the 15mm and it's amazingly sharp. Looking forward to your perspective on the 11mm f4...

Tempting. How is the aperture controlled?

I have the 15mm also, this has the same solid build, though I like the len cap on the 11mm better. It's so similar to the DFA 24-70 that it fits in the 11mm's hardcase just fine.

By the camera - no aperture ring.

Here another quick out-of-the camera jpeg, heavily cropped of Rosie at MFD, f5.6. Pretty sharp for a UWA

K or A15/3.5 will do the trick and it has built-in filters to boot. (Joint Zeiss/Pentax design)

I have a Tokina 17mm f/3.5 which is probably as wide as I really need right now. I try to maximise the use I get out of any subsequent lens I buy, and as I shoot a lot of film the obvious had to be asked.

We took a walk around a nearby lake, cloudy & rainy not the best conditions to test a new lens, but made due. Using the K-1, here's a FOV comparision between the 11mm &15mm Irix and the DFA 24-70 @ 24mm.

24mm

15mm
