When I go to Niagara Falls, my 3 lens walk around is the 28-105, the DA*60-250 or DA*200, and DFA 100 macro 2.8 with the 1.4 and 1.7x TC. I also have a very light weight FAJ-18-35 for use in a crunch. Not the best lens but better than nothing and very light due to cheap plastic construction. Going for a year, I would also take my FA 50 1.7 for low light situations. It all fits in one medium size camera pack.

The FA 50 1.7 and DFA 100 provide a nice portrait package and if you are married to 2.8 70mm for portraits, just put the 1.4 TC on it.. I've always preferred longer lengths for portraits. The 50 is more for environmental or group portraits.

The 60-250 is a hafl pound fighter than an 70-200 and the DA*200 is a half pound lighter than the 60-250. Taking TCs instead of extra lenses also saves a lot of weight.

Correct. Though they have support from sigma, rokinon and other companies, which would make sense to invest there?
