Stratman... I love this first image. The model is beautiful, the muted colors spot on and the composition with the car in the shadows... Love it, Love it...

And of course, the little girl is a doll, another great family shot from the 50's

Funn that you started a thread on 50mm

I am a fan of using 50mm focal length and I even got a blog about it.

Here are some of 50mm shots (too many to pick from)

Sorry. Got a relapse of OCD

roentarre,
Nice images and nice web site. It is cool that you have a 50 f/1.2...I have started to look for one of those myself...Can you post some images with it wide open. Anxious to see the bokeh...

The last two shots of the posts were taken with f1.2

Here are a few more shots from f1.2 wide open

If you are after beautiful bokeh, I would rather consider Nokton 58mm f1.4

I'd be interested in people's thoughts on this one. Some like it, others definitely don't!

This is a winner for me. I do find the young lady's braces on her lower teeth a little distracting, but I love the shot overall. Very well done. I would love to be able to do this type of shot myself.

With the SMC A 50 f1.7. I just got it from a local second hand store for $20.00 us.
I will say MF is challenging when trying to capture a 2yr old. It's much sharper than kit lens, which is currently my only other lens.
