Yes, but "a basement of a public parking building"?: there must be an interesting back story to that! So it raises the question: why there?
In location shooting , we are often use places which are less people . Often the top/bottom floor of a public parking building is empty . In this case we chose the bottom b/c of the lighting . The FA50/1.4 did the job well in this often darker than normal light . You just have to choose the right spot .

Having spent a bit of time with the wide angles and then teles, I have a new appreciation for the way a 50 sees space, there's a nice boxiness to the image... where a wide angle expands aways and a tele compresses.

A couple with the M 50/1.7, on a KX, with some post process manipulation. On the first, I messed with the tonal range and color, and on the second I did a b&w conversion and blew out the bright white bench.

Dan: Before I looked at your location I thought, that has to be in the Quetico Provincial Park."

For those of you who aren't acquainted, the park is a totally nspoiled area of millions (literally) of acres in Ontario.

I'm guessing your relaxation spot is geologically related, since there are VERY few habitations in the Quetico

EDIT: monochrome, thought you were talking to me! anyway, below still applies.

You've guessed correctly!

It's a garden about 280 miles south of the Quetico (Minneapolis,) but it has many of
the same flora. I've been in the Quetico myself twice, but have been canoeing
and camping in the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area, the same biome on the US
side of the border) for years.

If you're lucky enough to have been there, you know how incredible it is. I'd
love to take my camera up there - I've only been up with a P&S.

Lots of great pet shots in this thread, so here's Saint Francis, patron saint of pets, taken with M50/1.7

Really enjoying this thread, I have to post some of my own!
These were recently taken with my new FA 50 1.4.

This lens is a superb addition to my kit. I've got other 50mm lenses, but none are AF or so fast. Got to love f/1.4!

Hi folks.
I have not had a chance to go out shooting in a week and was beginning to have withdrawals, so I gabbed my FA50/1.4 and hooked it up to the ole K10D and chronicled my morning...Well, not really chronicled, but I figured I would find stuff to shoot....

So I got out early morning while still slightly dark...I shot the lamp post in my yard for reference...

I then shot this old barrel that we use as a sump pump cover in my yard.

I also found an old/new slipper out in the yard. GRRRRRR

Shot my kid on the way to school with the quickly rising sun on his face.

Went through the Jack in the box for a number 23 and while there I saw this gauge on the wall, so I shot it.

I then get to work and am getting ready to load my pictures to my computer, when I notice my Son was playing with my first ever digital camera...I actually used 1.44 floppy disc for storage...Many youngsters will not even know what that is....

And lastly, I liked the colors in my pencil holder...

And that's it for now...
