What you sell lenses ?
Strange phenomonem

Dave
I actually have sold 15 or more if I recall. But I sold less than I bought. And most of the sales were less expensive lenses.

try one of the Pentax 100mm macros instead of that puny 90mm

an " experienced " SMC Pentax-D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro or FA 100mm F2.8 or F 100mm F2.8 macro

true none of the 100mm are " limiteds "but they are Pentax

I have planned several times to finance other projects by selling some of the limiteds and I just couldn't do it. Weak of will.

I mailed off a lens I sold yesterday, but it was certainly not a Limited or * lens. It was one I liked a great deal but rarely used of late. I did once sell a * lens. I still regret it even though it's current owner does great things with it. I want one of the new 100mm D-FA Macros but no budget for it, especially if I plan on getting the new 11-18 * Iens early (I hope,) next year.

What Uncle Vanya said^^^^^, It is too easy to pick up a nice lens here but harder to part with one even if not often used.

I'll bring out those facts when someone ( sisters in law ) comment on my small collection of lenses
My wife said that she doesn't want to inherit my "museum hit by a tornado"
I have no idea of the number of lenses I own. What I know for sure is that I still love (and use!) some Pentax lenses I bought at the end of the seventies, and that I would never let them go.

Cheers

That's not fast, it's positively sedentary... a few of my "Ladies" can show your 85 a good turn of heels when it comes to speed.

Joking aside, it just takes a bit of practice and confidence.

I was warned that when I bought my first limited it wouldn't be my last

well

just received my new to me " experienced " SMC Pentax-DA 40mm F2.8 Limited purchased from a forum member via the market place

lens, hood, screw in cap, end cap and bag

looks like new

I also got a cap for the 21mm Limited from another forum member via the market place

it does fit the 40mm Limited if I remove the screw in cap

this means I can protect the 40mm limited lens as I carry it without having to use the screw in cap

for me, when I use the 40 Ltd, I remove the hood and cap altogether and replace them with a generic screw-in hood and pinch cap...

I was doing that, now I use a generic 40.5mm pinch cap. I was concerned that constantly pushing the film cap in and out might wear the paint over time.

I try 70/2.4. For some specific situation too dark. Comfort of street photography is amazing. I only test it few hours, but good feeling I get for years. I only have 77 limited. I think about another limited with wide angle, but with F above 2 to dark rooms. Now I can't decided what choose from limited. I'm looking for limited quality and compact size.

the most " modern " " limited " lens won't work for you

Pentax-DA 15mm F4 Limited
Pentax-DA 21mm F3.2 Limited
Pentax-DA 35mm F2.8 Macro Limited
Pentax-DA 40mm F2.8 Limited
Pentax-DA 70mm F3.2 Limited
HD Pentax-DA 20-40mm F2.8-4 Limited DC WR

and the older larger limiteds may not work:

I must check 31 limited. It will look like nice for my K3 II. I have 77/1.8 limited. I'm looking for more less than 35mm.

Why 31 limited will not make work in your opinion? Is AF speed problem like in 77?

The 77 is absolutely gorgeous. Rendering is what is said to be, quite special. I've never used other FA's ltd to compare.

DA 15 ltd has a great rendering, but there's a real limitation when it comes to corners/border sharpness which is quite poor.
