Thank you, Kevin. I see that you live in NC. I'm in Suffolk, VA, right on the border.

Hello folks,
This is my first post since I new to Pentax. I received my K-1 today, and get my 24-70 on Thursday. So, I'm a happy camper. My question is, what's an awesome portrait lens? I would like an 85mm 1.4, but I don't see one under Pentax. Should I go with a 77 Limited? I want something really awesome, and sharp wide open. I love to shoot at razor thin dog.
Thank you very much.
Terry
If you can find a good A*85/1.4, buy it if you can afford it. Yes, it’s manual focus, but it is a magnificent lens. The FA 85/1.4 is also excellent, I suspect as good as the A*. Either will be expensive to acquire.

The 31 is an excellent, albeit slightly slow standard lens on APS-C and an excellent is someone weird focal length on full frame.
