Hello Folks,
I have just put together my first Pentax kit. I have the K-1, 15-30, 24-70, and the new 100 macro. My question is about my 15-30. The sticker that says 15-30 on the barrel is peeling up. Does it suppose to come off? I try to keep my equipment in perfect condition, and this is a little annoying, since I know that it will keep getting worse. I haven't even shot with it, and it's peeling up on two corners.

Are you talking where the window is on the top of the lens that shows you the distance scale? That's a protective film to keep the window from getting scratched that I think is meant to be removed by the end user.

Yes, these are supposed to be removable although some of us leave them on for awhile. Some Sony lenses have the serial number on stickers only a little more sticky and they start coming off early. Pentax markings generally stay nice for a long time if the lens is not abused.
