Thoughs on Sigma 70-210

This is the A version (f/4-5.6), not the more recent model.

I saw it today for pretty cheap in a used camera store. Any sample shots and thoughts on the lens would be helpful!

I've searched both the forms and the lens review database and couldn't find anything.

Oh, and does anyone have any good recommendations for cheaper, older macro lenses that I could keep my eyes peeled for?

dunno about the Sigma, but it'd have to be super cheap with the tamron AF 70-300 around $100 used for me to even consider

most macro lenses are pretty decent, perhaps an older 50 or 100mm Pentax Macro will do the trick for you
