Unfortunately the D-FA 100 WR macro that I have used in the past was prone to some serious purple fringing.
And it suffered from sticky aperture not too long into using it. The build quality is there, just not the performance IMO.

FA100mm macro has P F too. But nowadays with pp, that is not an issue at all. I thought the coating of the newer DFA100mm is better
But FA100mm is heavy- old style heavy indeed
Mechanically it is foolproof after all these years 25-30 yrs I think

I could deal with the PF, a sticky aperture in the D-FA was very disappointing.

Sorry about the slow response. I got a couple pics on my work trip to Puerto Rico. I didn't have as much time as I would have liked but here are a couple. I'm pretty new to photography in general so take that into consideration when looking at them.

Those are very nice shots! looks like the FA 100 was a good choice for you. Great to see you back and showing us.
