Mount Conversion Services for PHOTO lenses

I came across with this and thought to share with you guys.
It would be interesting to see what lenses we can have on Pentax mount especially for K1.

Sigma has offered this service for years, actually.. So far as I'm aware, you can't convert to K-mount if the lens isn't already availabe in K-mount.

Correct and confirmed multiple times. The service is only useful on lenses that are offered in K mount. (Or were offered if they still have parts). They cannot convert a lens that was never offered in K mount.

Is it possible to buy a (cheaper) Sigma 500 mm f.4.5 for Canon or Nikon, and convert it to PK ?

No. The Pentax version of the 500/4.5 is screw drive, the Canikon version was HSM. The service is only for Global Vision lenses anyway, the 500/4.5 for Pentax is an older lens.

IMO just buy the Canikon version of the lens and an older Canikon body...or a Sony mirrorless and the Sigma converter for EF lenses.
