LBA: DA 35/2.8 Macro Limited

I bought this week the wonderful DA 35/2.8 macro limited, here are the first test shots:

It is a very nice little lens. As a macro lens, it goes up to a magnification ration of 1:1, but to reach this, you need to get very close to the subject.

Comments and critiques are welcome

I am sorry about that. I do not know the name of these flowers, but they are great to evaluate bokeh.

Difficult to say, both are excellent from IQ point of view. The DA35 is with the 1:1 capabilities more versatile, but the FA31 gains more than a full stop over the DA35.

I find that effect tempting. Thanks for posting these images! Now I am having a second thoughts.

does nice portraits too

DA35 is my walkabout lens for kids and gardens type pics, the sharpness and depth of field wide open can be a little unflattering but in soft light I think it works well. This is a JPEG straight out of a K10D. The very busy and bright background has pretty good bokeh (to my eyes anyhow)
