LBA: DA 35/2.8 Macro Limited

I bought this week the wonderful DA 35/2.8 macro limited, here are the first test shots:

It is a very nice little lens. As a macro lens, it goes up to a magnification ration of 1:1, but to reach this, you need to get very close to the subject.

I hate you! I thought i just bought the last lens i HAD to have !!! What are those flowers in 2 and 3?? I have them next door and i constantly shoot them they are great subjects. Just dunno the name.. Great pics now i must buy this lens

which one do you like better dominique? FA31 or DA35 :P

I am sorry about that. I do not know the name of these flowers, but they are great to evaluate bokeh.

Difficult to say, both are excellent from IQ point of view. The DA35 is with the 1:1 capabilities more versatile, but the FA31 gains more than a full stop over the DA35.

does nice portraits too

DA35 is my walkabout lens for kids and gardens type pics, the sharpness and depth of field wide open can be a little unflattering but in soft light I think it works well. This is a JPEG straight out of a K10D. The very busy and bright background has pretty good bokeh (to my eyes anyhow)
