Oh, now that won't do! I recently added the 77 to round off my collection, and tell you what, even the coffee tastes better!

Since it took this turn, one of the best expressions I’ve heard on this subject was a rather short statured fellow Marine who’d say, “I may not hit bottom, but I’ll mess up the sides.” I’m standing as a groomsman in his wddding on Saturday, so something’s working.

This thread isn’t good for me either, but I do have a gap in my lens lineup between 35 and 50 and I only have two of the three amigos.
Yeah, that’s not going to work. I started with the 77, a year later added the 43. I tried the 31 once and it just didn’t do it for me on crop. Tried it again on film, bought it the day after the film was processed and bought the K1 the next week.

One big happy family...

I don't sprechen, but Google helped me out. I'd like to try a 43 before buying. I don't shoot autofocus much, but I could see how the 31, 43 and 77 would make a lovely kit with one of Pentax's tiny 35mm bodies.

Though the 31 isn't that tiny compared to the bodies.

It truly is. Everything they say is true. I wish I had jumped sooner. Each of them are lovely to focus manually as well.

Though I just picked up the M 28/2.0 and by the looks of things, my FA31 may get quite a bit of a break. The 28 is nearly half its size, less than half its price, and damn near as 3D from the examples I've seen, though I've yet to dev a roll shot with it. Have the second in a camera now.

I actually like the 31 a lot on crop... but I agree, on 35mm it is absolute magic.

My 31 got a bit of a break when I acquired the K 28 3.5. I did a single in challenge with it under the assumption I was just using it before I sold it. It has a magic of its own when coupled to the K1 and stays in my bag now.

This, the K24/3.5 and K35/3.5 are all sweet lenses. I'd like to get a K50/1.4 and K85 for a complete K series set with my KX.

My goal is to put together a complete set of K lenses. I have the 28 3.5, 50 1.4, 55 1.8 and 300 4. The 15 has a bit of a price tag to it though.

I’m good with passing on the 15. Not sure I have a need to go wider than 20. The 20 is considerably wider than the 24. I got the 24 because of the FOV of the 15 Limited on APS-C.

RE: Part 1 of your Post (not Quoted), all I have to say is, Vince Lombardi.

Interesting on Part 2. I have an excess of Limited lenses between 35 and 50 in multiple formats. Willing to be of service.

Part 1: I’ll have to do some research. I’m not connecting the dots.

Part 2: Go on...perhaps via PM.

Agreed with Justin. 20mm is more than enough in most cases, particularly if you're now shooting the K-1 or 35mm. It's WIDE make no mistake. It's also cheap if we're talking about M20/4. It's, I think, the tiniest lens I own to boot. The thing is pint sized.
