Let me put it this way, the Pentax LTM 43mm f/1.9
special has substantially more flare resistance than the Leica Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH or the Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH, when stopped down to f/5.6 the FA43 has resolution characteristic that rivals both Leica lenses which cost considerably more.
The LTM FA43 actually has a bit of a cult following among leicaphiles, and is favored by monochrom shooters due to its high contrast. The most common complaint about the FA43 is among Leicaphiles is the focal length of 43mm, which no current off-the-shelf rangfinder has built in framelines for such a focal length. SLRs - man, they ruin
everything.
