One of the most beautiful places that I had the chance to visit. I was there in July, so days were somewhat short, but there were almost no other people around.


Not to prove my point, but to stick with the title of the thread, at 300mm and cropped: Two surprised creatures, checking each other out ...

You don't often luck out at the Prom, but I have always found it hard to get a decent image of the emus. The chicks are something. Amazing how the males do all the incubating and all the rearing of the chicks.

Yes it is a beautiful place. It is lovely in different ways all year round. I really enjoy going in winter too.

Fine image Jens. The backlighting frames the wallaby's head perfectly. I think she has a joey in the pouch, which might be why she isn't pleased to see a human.

Great shot. From what you said that this shot was heavily cropped, I can say that the 55-300 plm version has a much better image quality than the HD 55-300 which I have. Thanks for sharing.
