The versatility of this lens continues to impress me.

Can use it for portraits:

and it gets an impressive amount of detail for not a macro:

Sadly like my Tamron 90, Tess has pretty much taken mine. She's suggesting she might buy me another one for Christmas. She now has my original k-5 to go with the two lenses and the only reason she hasn't taken my DFA 28-105 is because I have nothing for my K-1 if he does.

Hi Norm

See sharing of the same camera brand has its drawbacks..

No more info/comments on the lens itself - but very pleased to see that this thread is thriving.

That's pretty funny. Although if she buys you another for Christmas, will the new one end up being hers since after all technically the used one is yours? 😂

The current one is a really good copy. I doubt she'd take a chance on sample variation rearing it's ugly head. But, If I switched them would she know?

I would like some of Lensrental lenses that had tested 10 copies and a survey of which lens people thought was sharpest and see how many people could even tell, even one with huge variation. I might be able to put the worst in the bottom 5. I don't have a monitor to tell the best.
