Question about K Mount Lenses

I have an old Pentax ME (film) camera with lots of lenses, some are manual and a couple are AF. The question is can I use these K- mount lenses on a newer Pentax digital camera. I really like to purchase the Pentax K70, would the older lenses I have work on the K70.

Yes they will work. The auto focus lenses (F and FA) will auto focus and be fully auto when the aperture ring is set to the 'A' position. Pentax-A lenses will work with manual focus and auto aperture as long as the "A" setting is used on the aperture ring. Pentax-M and 'K" lenses are fully manual but the green button can help (do the search, there is a lot of info here). The screw mount Takumar lenses will need an adapter to work.

In addition to what Tom said, also be aware that the K-70 has an APS-C sensor, so all your old lenses will have narrower fields of view than you are used to.

Yep, work the same with menu set right and metering may be different.

Yes you can. As a rule of thumb, any older Pentax lens will work with a newer Pentax digital camera.

Thank you for clearing this up, I just didn't want to not lose the use of these lenses.

Biggest limitations beyond those of the time the lens was made are for pre-KA mount lenses. They don’t work with P-TTL flash and can be a little inconvenient to meter.
