With film/FF the three FA limiteds covers everything for me too. When I bring the KP, I add the DA15 as wide angle. Perfect kit.

Is that a lens or your wife?

The bokeh is just so weird and cool. I absolutely love the transitions with this lens.

Many love the FA 43. I need to practice more with mine, dedicating some time for thin DOF photography. I'm usually shooting wide or long, rarely wide open in middle focal lengths.

I love my Samyang 14mm so I have no plans of getting another wide lens anytime soon.

My favorite lens is the FA43 too. The next step is to put a PZ-1p/MZ-S on the back of it.
That's where I love it best! Different experience from APS-C.

Were you working FF/film or crop?

I was working with FF. Seriously good combination. Changing lenses can be a pain but is worth it.

Those movies, they should have stopped after one.

I actually want something longer than 77. I really want a great 135mm lens, but I feel like my choices are pretty limited in that department, especially given I don't want to cough up the absurd amount for an A*.

Have you thought about the Samyang 135? I don't have it but it is well regarded for IQ. You would just need to get in the swing of manual focussing or catch in focus focussing.

It's like the Matrix. In my mind at least, there IS only one.

Samyang 135 2 gets amazing reviews everywhere, seems to be on pat with much more expensive zeiss counterpart.

As others have pointed out, the DFA macro WR is extremely comparable to the 77. At least in regards to rendering. It's a bit larger (not much), takes forever to focus (and cannot focus in live view to save itself), and is WR.

I prefer using the 77, actually, at least on full frame. I can crop if needed, I get a faster aperture, faster AF. Of course when you need a macro you need a macro!

Having previously sold an FA 28, to fund a 31, I now find myself having just picked up an F 28... Having got the 31 for a (relative) song (and I do really like it) I am not sure I can let it go, but the AF 28s on my KP feel much more at home in terms of handling.

A refreshed small 28 with WR would be a dream.

I've been saying this for some time now, that something between 24 and 28mm should have been here a long time ago. Canon has that 24mm STM prime and Pentax, the small prime company, has...

How do you like the F 28 vs. the FA? The F seems more sharp, the FA seems more pixel-dusty, but I've used neither.

A HD DA 28 f/2.8 Limited would fill the 43mm equalivency for Pentax APS-C. I have all the HD DA Limiteds and would gladly purchase a HD DA 28 f/2.8 Limited if Ricoh ever makes one. Please fill this true normal gap in the Pentax APS-C prime line!
