Wow, I absolutely adore the FA 43!

Normally I wouldn't make a thread, but I really wasn't expecting this kind of a difference when I bought this lens.
I point this at something and it just helps make things that much more interesting.

The sharpness and contrast from 1.9 is superb, and it only gets better mildly stopped down.
The bokeh is just so weird and cool. I absolutely love the transitions with this lens.

So now the next question is what to go with next? I think I want to go a bit long this time

The 77 is really amazing, too. I talked myself out of it for a long time, but now I'll never part with it. The 43 was my favorite for a long time, though.

It's obvious... get the 77... then the 31 to complete the trio...
There's no holding back now!

I actually want something longer than 77. I really want a great 135mm lens, but I feel like my choices are pretty limited in that department, especially given I don't want to cough up the absurd amount for an A*.

The D FA 100 macro is awesome. It is very different than the limiteds though, it has a more clinical beauty than a surrealistic one.

Yes! It is my favourite by far. I thought getting the 31 would send it to the back of the drawer, but nope! Perfectly quirky and, i find, such a good FOV on crop.

Next favourite is the DA 70 - doesn't leave me wanting the 77, although I suspect if I tried one that might change...

The FA135 is superb. I regret selling mine - before the K-1 was released

But you *need* the 77. Really.

If you managed to get hands on with one... you may well change your mind.

It's not that I don't want it, I just don't want the debt that comes with it!

My favorite lens is the FA43 too. The next step is to put a PZ-1p/MZ-S on the back of it.

The D FA 100 Macro WR is optical perfection. I consider it a Limited shooting it alongside 5 HD DA Limited’s. The 100 is amazing. Clinical is not the best way to describe it. Like the HD DA Limited’s the D FA 100 Macro WR has neutral, true to life colour rendering that you may adjust to your preference in post production.

I just recently got a new-to-me D FA 100 macro and am loving it so far. Of course the macro is excellent, but I also love it for landscape!

I need to stop looking at this thread, can't get the numbers 31, 43, and 77 out of my head....

I recently went on a long holiday with four lenses; the fa20, fa31, fa43 and fa77. The fa20 got neglected and I felt as though all my bases were covered with the trio remarkable combination.
