I just purchased a used HD Pentax-DA 16-85mm F3.5-5.6 ED DC WR at a great price but it is missing the lens hood. I'd really like to stick to the stock Pentax hood. Would anyone know the part# of that hood or better yet know where I can purchase it? Thanks!

Can be found on eBay, among other places.

All Pentax lenses have their hood name in the Lens Review Database:

I have also just recently purchased this lens.
But, whilst it came with it's Pentax PH-RBA 72 mm hood, like stated in the in-depth review, the hood is slightly loose when fitted and rattles annoyingly. I've tried adding little strips of electrical tape to tighten it but this hasn't helped so far.
Anyone got any bright ideas?

Mine also rattles slightly. Fortunately the times when I would use the hood are all outdoors where it is less noticeable than it would be in a quiet indoor setting. The hood rattle does not bother me. I would be really bothered if the inner barrel wobbled or rattled but on my copy the inner barrel is tight with no wobbles or rattles, even zoomed out to 85 mm. I do not know what would tighten it but I would not chance ruining the lens or hood just to tighten it.

I wonder if one of the lugs attaching the hood to the lens is damaged.I will try to post a picture of mine (which fits tightly) a bit later so you can compare.

Edit. Not the easiest thing to photograph!
