D FA* 12-24 f4.0 non-fisheye with an odd number of aperture blades and a front element filter diameter of 82-86 mm. I could then use standard screw in ND filters and the Cokin Z filter set without a need for spending $1000 in adapters.

Because saying so would be off-topic.

Also because I generally don't buy used AF lenses and don't do surgery on new ones. I also prefer a current generation focus motor and anticipate that the new lens will be a giant killer in several senses of the term.

Since the 70-200 F4 was my answer as well I want to answer to your question too. For me the reasons are that it will probably have a better focusing motor, internal zoom with fixed length and better weather sealing and it will probably have the latest HD coating.

Full frame teleconverter and a D-FA UWA prime lens. Also, I'd consider a D-FA UWA rectilinear zoom such as a 12-24 f/4.

A D-FA 400* F5.6. Just recoat the FA 400 design and add a DC motor and weather sealing. I will go into debt for that. Just make the paint more durable if using paint.

I'd like the UWA DFA*___mm Prime , Knowing Pentax, I'm hoping they will release a 20mm/F2.8. Because they are saying UWA Prime, not just WA Prime , which I would expect to be either 24mm or 28mm. , but, I would prefer a 14mm. FF or a remake of the old 15mm/3.5 of course.

Also a DFA* 1.4x TC

Dream list.

DFA*400mm/F4, but if we are dreaming, lets just make it a New DFA*250-600mm/F5.6

Some dreaming is OK for this list but remember you have to be ready to plunk down CASH if you want to add it to this list. We have plenty of dreaming threads, so please keep this list to things you need bad enough to spend cash money on.

You mean as in lenses that are in pipeline and/or are rumored from Ricoh or other makers?

Really hoping the road mapped UWA prime will be a compact 20/4. /2.8 is OK if they can keep the size down, but I really
would prefer a compact, pancake /4. /2.0 would likely be a non-starter unless they conjure magic from a 4th dimension
to hide the bulk.

That's about it for my 'want, will buy immediately on release' list.

Am I missing something here ?
We have a D FA* 70-200/ 2.8 already.
What would the D FA 70-200/ 4 bring to the table.

Just wondering cause am thinking of getting the previous for the K1.

Smaller, lighter, and less expensive (in theory).

Nope. Anything you want. But something you would actually pay for. There are lots of things I think RIcoh should have in the catalog, just because, but a lot less that I would actually buy. I'm just trying to keep the list realistic, and paying cash tends to do that

Dfa* 85/1.4

and how do I turn off whatever autocorrect "feature" is forcing the "fa" above to lower case?

If I have words ahead of DFA, it stays all upper case, so it looks like something is enforcing first word sentence capitalization.

Yes, Yes I would put the cash down on either a DFA*400/F4 WR or a DFA*250-600/F5.6 WR, the "dream" part is that they would make it.

I asked Sigma Japan if they would do a special order 500mm/F4 sport lens for Pentax K for me, the simple reply was they didn't make the lens in that mount, I tried to get them to understand I would pay extra to have them custom make the lens, but they just didn't understand.
