No worries and I was not calling you out. Just trying to keep everyone on track. I think after this runs awhile I will do a poll based on everyone's contributions to this thread.
A new DFA*250-600 would be a real feather in Ricoh's cap. A statement they are really serious. I almost purchased one once. But for me the return on investment was not there.

That certainly would get my attention, but I'm wondering if I could afford such a creature, or should I say justify it? I have no regrets on purchasing my DFA 150-450, 28-70, or 15-30, so I suppose it would be potentially at a price point I might bite on, but then again, even on sale, the DA 560 seems beyond what makes sense for what I do.

Well, I dream about a DFA version of the A*135/1.8 and a DFA*400/4 but it's not a slam dunk I'd be in a position to make the buy.

DFA15, DFA21 WR f2.8 with the new lens coating but NOT the rounded blades.

I think FA20 size lens is small enough and looks beatiful when mounth on a camera, it is no point to go to pancake size DA21 and no WR.

DA40-80 Limited (same build/style as the DA20-40)

DA*16-50/2.8 (as rumoured(?) with updated optics)

DA*11-18/2.8 (but we know that one's coming for sure)

Oh... and a DFA30-60 Limited (FF version of the DA20-40) might even make me buy the K-1...

Get the 60-250 and convert to full frame!

I'd purchase a FF 24-105, ideally F4 constant.

I'd take a good long look at a 20-24 limited prime, especially if it delivered starbursts like the DA21.

I actually thought about that for quite a while and was literally about to buy one but then the 70-200 F4 was announced and I decided to wait for that because I expect it to have better focusing motor, better coating and internal zoom and focus meaning fixed lens dimensions which I prefer.

A full-frame superzoom . Maybe 24-240, 28-300, 28-450, etc. One can dream.

Those are valid arguments. The AF speed is likely to be improved vs the 60-250 if the 70-200 F2.8 is any indication. Internal zooming is also probable, again based on the other design. Regarding coatings, I doubt there will be a visible difference, the 60-250 is already among the best there is.

The current lens also has the advantage of a longer reach. Ad being available now

In fact, considering that the AF system of the 60-250 COULD be upgraded, the internal zooming is probably the only reason to design a 70-200 F4 instead of using the current design.

Really hoping the road mapped UWA prime will be a compact 20/4. /2.8 is OK if they can keep the size down, but I really
would prefer a compact, pancake /4. /2.0 would likely be a non-starter unless they conjure magic from a 4th dimension
to hide the bulk.

That's about it for my 'want, will buy immediately on release' list.
That's what I'd like, too. I have an A 20/2.8 but shoot it almost exclusively at f/8-f/11. A compact DFA 20/4 would be very, very hard to resist.

The other lens I'd pay for is a (relatively) compact tele zoom. The 60-250 is nice, but a bit short. Maybe a 100-300/4 or even 100-400/4-5.6 if they can make it at under 1.5 kg. Then again, if I want light and tele I should stick to APS-C

My choice would be a replacement for the D FA 28-105, with a wider short FL, say a D FA 24-105.

I would not necessarily be advocating a constant aperture lens, although a Limited lens with a constant aperture of, say, f4 may be acceptable, depending on price. If a longer top end FL could be achieved, so much the better, but my main wish would be for a relatively light, but good quality budget lens, with a broader zoom range than the present optic.

Even though I wrote constant F4, I'd be all over a 24-105 F3.5-F5.6, a true equivalent to the 16-85 on APS-C.

Sorry. I thought I’d checked all the previous posts, but I obviously missed yours. No criticism intended, but it’s good to read that I wasn’t alone in this.
