Can I go off script and ask for the closest accessory you can get to being a lens without any glass in it? I would plunk cash down now for an extension tube (or set of tubes) if Pentax released one with all the modern amenities - contacts, aperture lever, WR, etc.

I have a few lenses on my dream list (like a DFA200mm macro), but my change jar is not yet full enough to buy it if it were released anytime soon.

I would probably go for a new 85 1.4 but it would have to be a big improvement over the FA*85 1.4 which is still going strong.

21mm f/2.8 Pentax Distagon of course. I would not mind if it is rebadged Zeiss in this case.

Over a year ago for this thread and we are still waiting for the DFA 70-200 f/4. I would still like to see a DFA 60-250 f/4 but I no longer think that will happen. I have been using my F 70-210 while we wait for the new 70-200 to come out.

Upon reflection I would still pay money for the DFA 70-200 and a DFA 1.4x TC. I'm not sure there is anything else I would buy right now, but those two are needed in my bag.

Yes, this. Full pass-through controls INCLUDING all the KAF4, DC, SDM stuff. And the aperture lever for back-compatibility onto the film bodies.

We need at least a half decent WR D-FA 28-200.

How about an 85mm f/1.8 for those mortals whose budget cannot reach to an f/1.4? Even an 85mm f/2 would be nice.

35mm f1.4 for APS-C portrait work. Sometimes the *55mm gives the wrong FOV for the job.

Pentax 50mm HD Limited. The small size is great to carry around. And 50 is awesome for portrait.

I eagerly await the Pentax 85mm 1.4 lens.

After that, the only other lens that will be missing from my kit would either be a 200mm f2 (use that through a sony body perhaps?) or a 200mm 2.8 (prime) through either a pentax or sony or whatever body.

HD Pentax-M 120mmf2.8 AF WR (and keep the aperture ring like they did with the HD FA 35!)

or

A completely redesigned star-series 24mm f2.0 not based on the FA*24.
