Out of the lenses I mentioned in post #49, at this point I'd most like a AW or WR 135 prime. Doesn't have to be a * lens. Decent build quality (like the 28-105), fast autofocus, WR, more compact than monster-sized, a 135/2.8 would fit the bill nicely..

the 135 really is missing in the pentax lineup.
That is pretty much the only reason i got a sony. If pentax releases a fast 135 prime (like F2, or F1.8) i'd sell the sony right away and keep the pentax K1 and the 135. quickly becoming my favorite focal length. alas, mine is attached to a sony :-/

hadi, if you want to deal with manual focus, the Samyang 135mm f2 is supposed to be a very good lens. Understood if you don't want an MF-only lens for your DSLR; I generally don't like using them on my DSLR. Agreed that this seems like a bad place to be missing a lens. The old F 135mm f2.8 is supposed to be quite nice although it's not as fast as you're asking for.

the rokinon/samyang is actually the lens i'm using on the Sony. I dont mind manual focus, if there was a better focus peaquing available on pentax, like it is on the mirrorless system. If pentax refuses to release a 135 fast aperture lens, then i may eventually get a sigma 135 (or if rokinon/samyang) released an automatic 135 F2, then i may pick that up...

but that would only have to be on an A7RIII or something. Not liking my A7RII, and dont want to get the A7III.

I had the 85mm manual focus rokinon on pentax a while back. was a real pain to focus on anything that was shot wider than F4. so really no point getting a fast aperture lens if its manual focus (in my opinion)

There is a lot of stuff missing in fullframe land. What would I buy right away?

FF 85 f/1.4
FF anything between 300 f/2.8 - 600 f/5.6 which is not stupidly large/long
FF wide angle 31 f/2 - oops I just killed the ltd

Currently a new spec body could push me towards 150-450, add the 85. That sums up to a lot.

come to think of it, a 20mm 1.4, or 24mm 1.4/1.8 would be a brilliant addition to the K1 line.

not that i shoot wide anylonger, but maybe if i'm forcing distortion in portraits, it may come in handy.

high end 50mm 1:2.8 macro with aperture ring (bellows usage) and proper mechanics to keep the optics aligned, so no crappy plastic as on the dfa50 macro..

The only lens I can think of that I would buy immediately is a proper FF fisheye zoom (no circular fisheye nonsense) as was originally promised on earlier roadmaps but replaced by the HD version of the 10-17 with the removable hood. I would also like to see a DFA 70-300 f4-5.6 (probably on roadmap), but might not buy that right away.

What new lens would you purchase on release?
Probably any more F1.2s manual primes with aperture ring and an "A" on it.

Apart from a 50mm... as my "Special Lady” is already resident in the harem.
