Tamron 70-300 + Bower 2x AF + NY Yankees

I was expecting the IQ to be a lot worse than this, but they turned out okay for my purposes. The AF with this combo would not lock at full zoom so I had to back it off a bit. Got some PF along the edges of the white uniforms but it wasn't too bad. Most shots were in the F6.3 - F8 range.

Not bad for a cheapo lens with AF and decent reach...

doesn't look too bad to me. must have had plenty of light, what were the settings for these photos?

doesn't the viewfinder get extremely dark at full telephoto tho?

The viewfinder didn't get dark, but the camera had trouble locking focus focus at 300mm.

All photos were done at ISO 800 and apertures from F6.3 to F8. Shutter speeds varied depending on the available light in the scene. They from a low of 1/100 to as fast as 1/640. EXIF data should be intact..
