but I keep them because one is F2.0 and the other F 1.8

do you have lenses you don't use a lot and if so, why do you keep them?

[ remember that posts to this thread will help toward the count in July and August ]
I used to have FA35 and F28, both are very good but they see about 2-3 use a year. I keept it for a few year and finally sale it to forum members here. I still want them back sometime. They are such good and compact FF lenses. I sold it because I want those really want them to use them. And I live in Japan, It is easier to find them in use market here, especially the F28.

Don't use my DA* 200mm f/2.8 EDIF SDM Lens very much. Or my SIGMA 70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro.

But i'd never get rid of them.

I have a Takumar-A 70-200mm f4, original box and everything. It unfortunately is kind of a crappy lens wide open, but my parents gave it to me for my birthday in maybe 1990. Sentimental value.

I really need to stop buying 40-58mm (not zoom) lenses as I have 67 of them: Tim's Home Page · ? Camera Lenses · Normal Lenses

I think I have basically every 50/1.4 lens made by Pentax/Asahi

Mine tend to get fairly evenly used, otherwise it can get quite ugly down at the harem...

I only have two pairs of duplicate focal lengths within my "Ladies"... "Deviate Lady" (Pentax 28mm F3.5 Shift) and "Street Lady" (Pentax-A 28mm F2.8), as well as "Special Lady” (Pentax-A 50mm F1.2) and “Femme Fatale” (Pentax-A 50mm F2.8 Macro).

But they really do serve very different purposes, so I feel no guilt whatsoever.

I regularly use just three lenses. I also carry an FA 28-105 in my bag as insurance so I can continue taking picture if the Dark Image Syndrome totally afflicts my K-30 in the middle of some adventure. Then I have several bags of lenses such as Takumar 35/2, Takumar 50/1.4, and Mir 37/2.8. They don't take up much room, and it would be more bother to sell them than to store them. I'll let my heirs deal with that.
