I found this at a camera show Sunday. M-forty-two dot com says this lens was introduced in '58, which makes it almost a year younger than I am.
It is a preset lens, which in these digital days is a good thing actually. The lens is very compact, reminds me of the old half frame Olympus Pen FT lenses...
Here, the Tele-Takumar next to a Viv TX 200/3.5 and a Tamron 103a:
The lens is sharp and has decent contrast wide open - if you can call 5.6 wide open
I love the small size, I can keep this telescope in my bag all the time!
