Older Nikon 5omm f/1.8

Is there an adapter one might be able to buy to make this old manual lens of mine work with my k200d? Maybe it's just cheaper to buy the older Pentax M version 50mm f/1.4 or f/1.7?

There is no adapter from Nikon to Pentax.

However...some members have been able to mount their older Nikon lenses "upside-down" on the Pentax bayonet. Try at your own risk.

I think you are better off getting an older K 50mm F1.4 than spending your time and effort converting lens mounts.

I looked at converting K to KA and while it was possible to do some of the conversion, I found that I had to rework the apature assembly to make the opening area linear with activation lever as opposed to opening diameter. It just took too much effort, and that was modifying mounts within pentax. changing from nikon or another to pentax is a waste of time and effort unless you intend to mass produce the conversion

Personally I feel that most people are better off just getting a screwmount adapter, and getting Takumar's. They're often much more affordable, you can shoot in AV without modifying the lens, plus the optics are tough to beat

With a 52mm to K mount reverse adapter, you could use the Nikon for close-ups.
