Got my Tammy 17-50 2.8

WOW! I can't believe how much wider it is than the DA 18-55... The lens itself is almost twice as large also. I was looking through the eye piece and went to turn my head and all most fell down. It was like looking thought the DA 10-17 fisheye. Can't wait till day time tomorrow to take some shots. Thanks for the recomendation Guys.

Grates on ur new lens, I'm sure you'll enjoy it like I have. Just a word of advise, do check if urs have any BF or FF. After testing for a few months, I finally sent mine back to Jap for calibration, as the FF is beyond -10 on K20D AF adjustment setting^^;

I have the same lens, picked up and used it a bit and love it. I have not heard of any FF or BF issues with this lens, so you should be 99% fine. :-)

Take some photos and post it up. I'd love to see what comes about.

Yer Glass Link is out of date now, Jack.

Got my copy a couple months ago. Not counting time to switch between the K20 and K10, it's only been off-camera a sum total of about 30 minutes I think.

Yerp its a great lens. I got one with some FF issues but the K20's adjustment saved my sanity and the lens its place in the bag. The FF differs between wide and long but the way one uses a lens such as this leaves some lee-way for easy work arounds.

I'm looking to buy this lens, so would be very interested in hearing your opinions after you've tested it!

I took these today hand held from the same spot. I know it isn't much of a test because of the clouds and such, but you can see how much wider the 17's are. I really don't see much in IQ between the Tamron and the Pentax. If you guys let me know what to take pictures of so you can see if the lens is any good.. FF and BF what is that?

I own a copy of this lens and am very happy after my first 6 months with it. It preserves the Tamron tradition to offer a whole lot for your dollar. I hope it serves you well. As requested already, please post so we know how it works for you--thanks.
