All the shots were handheld. The IQ is there if you find the few places where it's actually in focus. The depth of field is quite narrow. Would likely be a little more perfect with a tripod.

Indeed. I have found handholding hi-res cameras a bit impossible to make any proper use of them without a flash.

It is certainly a great lens. But it had some big shoes to fill. When did Pentax ever make a poor 50mm (or 55mm)? I like the f2.5 shot.

Yeah, you end up going to extremes to improve a 50mm lens much. I do wish they had a DFA water resistant full frame line of f2 lenses like Fuji's. Could be Limiteds, or not. Just nice, modern smaller primes that would appeal to both full frame and aps-c users.

No, I like sleeping too much. These days I even have trouble setting my alarm for early morning. Come fall I will take it on some night walks downtown.
