Only guy conversations. Women's conversations always end up discussing shoes.

I mean, hot shoes is a perennial topic of discussion in photography circles, no?

I'm woefully deficient in knowledge of photography circles. Kind of like a sewing circle only knitting camera bags?

I've wondered why I don't see more women in this forum. I think I've figured it out.

Women like discussions ending in sharing Wang experiences as much as guys like discussions ending in sharing shoe experiences? That could be it.

I don't know about you, but discussions of a good hot shoe always make me happy.

There are a fair number, they just don't always have "feminine" user names and seldom front with their gender or anatomy.

FWIW, to get back to the original theme of this thread and in "defence" of Sigma, Sigma Imaging UK are pretty damned good - several lenses sent to them have received a lot of TLC (totally free on one occasion when they couldn't find anything wrong with the lens in question!) that I much appreciate, and so I wouldn't be using mostly Sigma lenses (55-300PLM excepted). Of course it depends on your local support, but the UK operation has my full support!

Yes, every service center around the globe or zone/district is different. There was a discussion on another thread about a problem with the LA office misredirecting packages to the wrong PO, but in general how a good service they provided.

"No" would have been sufficient, but it would have been terribly rude. The answer you got seems perfectly reasonable.
I agree.

If referring to the 500mm lens, being a 1975 or earlier unit, I doubt there were any electronics in it
