I don't know if I read it wrong, but when I compare their evaluation of quality/resolution for the DA*300 with their test of the DA 55-300 at 300mm, it looks like the DA 55-300 at 300mm is better than the DA*300.... isn't strange ????

Yes, it is strange... Their SQF numbers (sharpness/contrast) are just a bit better overall for the 55-300.
