Within its focal range....which is better F24-50 or FA 24-90 ?

I have the F 24-50 lens and find it quite good on my K-1.
However I want the DFA 24-70 image quality , but cant afford it at all and find its size and weight quite offensive.
How would the FA 24-90 stack up not only as an alternative to the DFA 24-70 , but also compared to the F 24-50 within its more limited focal range ?
Reading the reviews doesn't help much at this point. Real world experience would be better on this question.

I don't recall being too fond of the 24-90mm on crop, and on film vignetting was an issue. While certainly not a bad lens, the 24-50, 35-70, or just about any other film-era compact zoom would not be my goto for the K-1. If you're looking for a high performance lens you may be better off going for a prime, or perhaps something like the FA* 28-70mm. If you prefer a lighter zoom, I can vouch for the DFA 28-105mm.

I have the 28-70 FA* and the 24-90 FA and use both on the K-1ii and K-1. I don't have direct experience with the F 24-50 on digital but did use that lens in the film days. I sold the F 24-50 but kept the 24-90 for use with digital. It's coating is of very high quality and it works well on the K-1 family. Vignetting is visible at wide apertures at 24 but is gone at F4 or at ~26 mm. The corner darkening also is easy to correct in post. The great thing about the 24-90 is its small size and weight. If you get a good copy, it is a very good lens for the K-1. Its build quality is often called into question, but I find that with a lensband to prevent zoom creep, I have no major problems with the build.
Hope this is a help.
