I would probably hack every lens I own to pieces to get the K-1 back. For that scenario I would wish for my DA-L 18-55mm lens, all plastic and cheap to replace afterwards

Most upset my Samyang 35mm lens. While it would be nice to use on a K-1 I don't wanna destroy it

No, it's forever. An evil djinn prevents destruction or removal of the lens, and the offender's damned soul spends a million years in Hell shooting bridezilla weddings with nothing but a Program Plus, an FA28-90 lens, and decade-out-of-date 64ASA Svema slide film.

In that case I would switch my least and most upseting scenarios

I'm actually quite happy with my 28-105 lens on the K-1. I'm impressed with it's picture quality ..even though I suppose it's classified as a kit lens. It reminds me a bit of my 18-135 which I use on m ASP-C cameras. It's another kit lens and also impresses the heck out of me. I recall being hesitant about getting a 18-135 as there were some who said this lens wasn't the best. After having one, I have to disagree.

Anyways back to the question at hand. I also find my 40mm and 70 mm Limited very good on the K1, which I set to Full frame, even if the lens is supposed to be ASP-C design. I don't notice very much if any vignetting with these (40,70) or other issues on the K-1. Maybe I'm not discerning enough.

So the 40,70 and 28-105 I would be able to get by with, if I found one welded to the K-1 body one day.

I'm thinking about the Pentax 100mm D FA WR F 2.8 Macro lens...it's full frame, metal body, nicely rated. Seems like a nice Macro/portrait lens for the K-1.

I'd be least upset having the DFA 28-105 permanently attached. That's the lens I use most often.

Most upset? My 55-300. I only use that lens for unexpected telephoto opportunities. If I'm deliberately going out to photograph telephoto subjects (aircraft, sun, moon, wildlife) I use the Sigma 50-500.

Least upset would probably be the 31 Limited (subject to change after I get the D FA50)

Most upset would be my Zenitar 16 fisheye. While I like the lens, I’d be done after the first day.

I'd be least upset with the 28-105 which if I'm right has the most zoom range of any modern lens, making the camera useful in the most possible situations.

The lens I wouldn't want stuck on it would be the Tamron 300 2.8. That lens weighs six pounds. I'd use the camera maybe 10 times a year with that lens stuck on it.

This thread again shows how popular the 28-105 is owners. It gets dismissed by some as a cheap kit lens, but as long as you don't need wide aperture it performs on par with much more expensive lenses.

I don't remember what I paid for mine but it wasn't cheap.

Though I have a second-hand 24-70, I have the 28-105 on the K-1 quite often, and it is the only zoom I use with the KP. In many ways buying the 24-70 was an unnecesary impulse purchase, even at the price I pad and after waiting three weeks for someone else to pull the trigger. I’ll probably sell it this fall.

My understanding is that it is an extraordinary kit lens, and to hear it put alongside or even superior to the 24-70/2.8 raises my interest level. My wife has impressed upon me that I should treat myself to something this Christmas, and I know we are planning a big holiday in February. That may be worth bringing the K-1 for, and I will want good glass.

Seeing that I don't have a K-1, I'll respond to this with my current gear..

If a lens was stuck on my K-3ii:

WORST scenario - DA15 - Don't get me wrong, I love this lens! But, wide angle isn't really my gig... And I can do panoramas with another lens, or ever my smartphone if the situation demanded.

BEST scenario - HD 1.4xTC with the DFA 100mm Macro - Oh boy... How I LOVE this combo! Fully weather sealed, 140mm macro, F4... I often find myself leaving this combo on my K-3ii for weeks at a time. I can get shots of birds if I work on my stealthy technique, I can stitch panoramics, I can take architecture shots, I can do portraiture from a distance, I can make incredible macro shots beyond 1:1, I can even do landscape with some remarkable background separation.

I have always felt a dedicated macro lens is one of the most versatile tools in the box.

Hey, why weren't your consecutive posts combined? That make it very easy to reach 180 for the month.
