A lens gets stuck forever on your brand new K-1...

... Which lenses that you own would you LEAST and MOST be upset about this happening with?

If I owned one the FA 20-35......but since I don't it would be the F 24-50 Ive been playing with as of late.
I could also live with the DFA 28-105 stuck to its snout indefinitely.
Now I would be VERY upset if it were a prime longer than 50mm......for my shooting style that would positively Suck !

Brand new K-1? I'd send it in for warranty repair. It is, after all, an interchangeable lens camera.

DSLR out of warranty or otherwise not worth paying for someone to service but still beloved more
than the lens attached? I'd get out the hacksaw.

Beloved lens stuck on a crab body? That would be a nuisance. Disassembly from the back side....?

But that's not really what you're asking. So, favorite lens to have on a fixed lens camera with K-1
specs? Something wide. How about the DFA15-30? Worst lens to have in such a configuration?
A big, heavy, telephoto zoom.

My Samyang 12mm Fish Eye. It's a great lens, but it would get old very quickly if it was all I had.

Fortunately I would still have a K-1 Mark II (and a KP) to put the other lenses on

Probably happiest if it was the DFA28-105 stuck on it, as I would generally still get most of what I want done. Next preferred stuck lens would probably be the FA35 f2 (if I had a FA 31 Limited it would probably be that).

Least happy would be if my Tamron SP 70-200 f2.8 was stuck on it. Not because its a bad lens (it actually performs really well), but just because of the relatively big size and weight of a combo I don't often use. It barely fits my bag and oh and it doesn't AF properly in Liveview either (I'm far from alone there) which is an annoyance too.

I do not own a k1, but if it would be my fa 43 I'd not complain much.

The Fat Fifty is stuck on there now. From 1977 to 1999 the only lens I had was 50mm.

There was a no name m42 180/3.5 I got in a bag of other stuff that had a cross-threaded metal rear cap stuck on it. Ugliest lens I have ever seen. Not even worthy of weighting down a bag of trash dumped in a swamp.

Of the ones I own, I guess the DA 28-105 or DA*55 I could happily shoot with forever. If I was lucky enough to own the DFA*50 'Fat Fifty' it would replace the DA*55.

I think I'd be least happy with a good long lens I own like the DFA100 Macro or FA*300, because so many more of my shots are a subject in context than part of a subject.

I don't own any bad lenses but I do ownsome cheap ones. I would make things work out if I had a new K-1 - now I only have APSC - with the DA 35 2.4 I think. From what I have seen it's a great lens on the K-1. I would probably like the Rikenon P 50 1.4 a lot. I don't have any full frame zoom that isn't a tele or my Tokina 19-35 which I guess qualifies as a superwide on FF.

I think I would hate to have that 19-35 stuck, not because it isn't a good lens, but because I don't shoot ultrawide hardly ever, and the MFD is the worse of any lens that I own.

For least upset, on APS-C, I'd nominate my FA20-35. On full frame, FA31 Limited? Or if I had one, the FA35/2. Kinda like that mid-30's FOV for all round adaptability, especially if able to use stitching in pp to get a wider FOV where needed.

Most upset. Hmmm.... anything longer than my FA77. Or the rubbish $10 zoom lens I bought on impulse from a camera shop junk clearing box. On further thought, definitely the rubbish $10 zoom.

Ha, easy question!

The FA*200 f4 macro. I would then buy another K-1 quite happily

I'd probably be happiest with the DFA 24-70 -- mainly because it covers all the standard focal lengths. Least favorite would be the DA 55-300. I don't really like telephotos and that one is a crop one at that.

Okay, my answer:

Least distressed: my FA 135/2.8, because I could still take photos of my kids' recitals and I have the right gear to reverse a wide to normal prime on the front and give myself a super-macro capability if I need it.

Most distressed: my off-brand 400mm M42 preset tele lens, which has horrible flare, terrible contrast, and most likely some serious haze, and whose permanent presence on the camera would almost certainly get me arrested as some sort of professional spy or perv (it is the physical duplicate of the immortal and infamous 400mm f/6.3 Astranar "Girl-Watcher" lens offered in the 1960's).
