Pentax AF Adapter!!!

Since this adapter is used for autofocusing on manual lenses. Does this mean, I can autofocus with LEITAXED lenses??? Also Pentax A 50mm f1.2 & Mitakon 85mm f1.2???

Yes. Just remember that it also acts as a teleconverter.

Ok are you talking about tele-converters?

Is the 1.7 still a new item? A lot of Japanese Ebay sellers claim to have it new. US dealers don't list it.

Yes - the 1.7 AF teleconverter: SMC Pentax-F 1.7x AF Adapter Reviews - Pentax K-mount Teleconverters and Adapters - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

Once you get close to proper focus with the main lens, the 1.7 adjusts its own internal lenses to fine tune the focus, using the screw drive focus system of the camera.

I have one. It is rather nice in action.

I don't mind at all! Better than buying separate teleconverter! And something is better than nothing!

Search on Google it will direct you to the page on Pentax forum! But keep in mind they cost about 400$! You have been warned!

The lens you put on it has to have a conductive base, so some adapted lenses might not work. (like most m42s) You can put foil tape on the lens to get around this, but that's a pain.

The 1.7x TC has been discontinued for over a decade AFAIK. The DA one is the only current one.

The Japan website makes it look current.

This catalog was published May 2017. The 1.7x is listed on a page with 5 other TCs. The rest of the content makes the document look like currently available products rather than a historical reference. http://www.ricoh-imaging.co.jp/english/support/pdf/pentax_acc.pdf

The website even lists a price, 45900 yen. The link below is in Japanese, just put "1.7" into the search box near the top to find it. ???? | RICOH IMAGING

Estimated delivery date Sept 1, 2018. It's in stock but they won't ship outside Japan. F AF????? 1.7X: ??? | RICOH IMAGING

I purchased new one from Japan, works great.
It was banned everywhelse ~ 10 years ago, I think the problem was to high % of lead in the glass.
