I reach for the 43 a bit for landscape shots..... but more about mood then resolution or sharpness.... mostly f4 to f11 ish....

Wow, that sky looks beautiful. I need to use my 43 more often.

In the 2 years since I purchased it the FA43 is hit or miss for me. most of the time it's good but not the thing of legend you might hear about on the forums. But every so often it. pulls out a stunner of a photo. I haven't quite figured that one out.

I love the rendering of the FA 43, it's a really great lens. But let's be real you use the lens for the BOKEH.

One could argue that the bokeh on the snail shot is a bit busy. What really makes it work though is the color rendering. The color shade transition on the snail shell and the slight glow is just delicious.

The 43 can provide some bokeh quirkyness at times...... as this shot shows as well. For smooth bokeh near field transition for a critical shot (say a wedding) I don't use the 43 for this reason. In a way, thats why we have fast 50's.

Or maybe, the 43 doesn't just do grass!

I fall into the same category. Grab it for a lot of flower shots.
