Best super-wide with NO CA!!

Hello all, New to the pentax family... I really like the fact that the K10d and K20d can do 2Ev step 5 frame AEB for HDR photography and I'm a wide fanatic... BUT HDR can really multiply any chromatic ab. in a lens. My first try has been the DA 14mm F2.8 and it's really making me saaad... Enjoying the focal length and 'general sharpness', HATE the CA it produces. Totally goes out of control in HDR..

So. Anyone have suggestions on a wide with very little to no CA with K or M42 mount?? I have a Nikon 17-35 F2.8 ED... Anything that will match the performance that bad boy? It's by far my favorite lens... I can't mate it to a K without going through a 'coke bottle' adaptor (unless you know otherwise).

Please help! I need a go to that I can depend on for HDR! TIA

I've had a Sigma 10-20 for a few weeks now, not noticed any CA so far. Unfortunately CA seems to be the weak-point of the Pentax line-up

You could try the new Zeiss 18mm f/3.5 if it's wide enough and if you can afford it. It looks like it performs very similarly to the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8
Zeiss Distagon 18mm f/3.5

Pentax has a new 15mm f/4 Limited coming out soon. Looks really interesting, it will be a while before we know how well it performs.

It is the signature of Pentax to produce lenses that fringe. But I would still get one since I had been waiting for this lens for so long.

I think it will be easier fo find software to reduce the CA rather than a lens that does not produce it.

I have that lens w/nikon mount. It's really not that bad. Guess I had high hopes for the faster 14

I already have plenty of post process work on my plate! I'd always choose routes to reduce that burden.

Definately eyeing the "Zenitar-K" f/2.8/16mm

It is very true. And very sharp as well. Just more work to get manual focusing and exposure. The bokeh can be unrelaible according to my taste most of the time.
