Whither LBA?

I'm lost.

I now have 15-450mm covered by modern DFA zooms.
....and fast primes at 24, 35, 50, 85 and 135.
Add the Three Amigos - all MIJ and silver.

What am I supposed to do now? Go out and take photos??

The pain is real.

certainly take photos

and post them

but why don't you have multiple copies of the lenses you have ?

just in case ya know

and do you suffer from an imbalance

are the number of zooms you own equal to the number of primes ?

what about legacy glass ?

excuses for LBA abound

Nothing between 8mm and 14mm? You really should be ashamed
I think you are in trouble, no ultra wide lenses, tsk, tsk, tsk
And you should buy a telescope too...
Good luck with your LBA.

Zooms from 10-300 - plus "standard" WR zoom as I live in the UK, two full kits, one kit for the K5 and another for the K3, no duplication of lenses

Six 50mm Pentax-M, -A, -F
Two 40mm one limited (my finances are more limited than the lenses)
21mm Limited
Many 28mm
Couple of -A zooms

oh and the film kit for the Z-50 which is different again, covers 28-300

The struggle is real

Those sound like real problems!

Shooting some pictures might work. I’ve been working on filling in my K series line up, not sure why, but it sounded like fun when I started.

No Russian or Eastern German vintage glass?
What about old preset and Auto Takumars?
You need more metal and less plastic in your bag!

Er, wait for that FF fisheye zoom and other goodies on the roadmap, maybe?

Or, indeed, as you suggested in mock-protest, shoot the wonderful glass that you got. Learning and mastering each of them to a reasonable degree. From all the cool shots you have posted over the years, I expect that wouldn't just give you tons of fun but also result in beautiful, accomplished images.

I guess you can be both, gear collector and expert photographer.

Up to a point, I even dig how some folks will predominantly or even exclusively collect gear - unless they are posing as great photographers. As if their vast, costly collections per se lent them photographic expertise. In that case, which thankfully doesn't seem to be as common in Pentaxland as with some other brands, I have a respect problem.

Now, I'm sure not going to pretend I wouldn't love a collection like yours!

I didn't mention the "slow" primes. I do have a 12/2.8 fisheye

Yeah, the 04 and 05 toy lenses make a massive hole in my lineup. Terrible oversight
