The Pentax 28 f/3.5 Shift lens is a blast.

And then there's non-fisheye UWAs like the Sigma DG 12-24

Macro is it's own little LBA world of lenses, tubes, bellows, reversing rings, etc.

Then there's the strategy of buying any old lens that's cheap just to muck about.

Instead of being happy that you have achieved near perfection,
start going for the less-than-perfect.

There's a host of flawed lenses out there,
and a lot of fun to be had exploring their optical vices.

Take a walk on the wild side!

while I do not have the collection of bodies + lenses that have accumulated under your steady curatorship.... I do find myself at that crossroads occasionally....

You should be ashamed of your lack of foresight. What if they all break, at the same time? Where's your backup?

A challenge to find the lowest serial number set of the FA limiteds? That’s what I’m doing.

True

Could always write a letter to Ricoh to see about pre-testing the new DA* 11-18 in a real world end user scenario to help them bring it to market.

No need to resort to anything so drastic as to go and take pictures, there are dozens of other ways to put that off. That's why I spend so much time on PF and Flickr, looking at photos and talking about making photos is a great way to spend time. I also like providing backhanded compliments to photographers whose posted photos are good, but not quite as good as the photos I could produce, if I were actually taking photos, which I would, if I only had the right lens, or camera, or accessory, and were in the right part of the world when the light ws just right...

You need this at the long end:
Used Pentax SMC 500mm f4.5 (MF) lens - 1 YEAR GTEE - Used Pentax Fit Lenses - Used Lenses - Used and Refurbished

Then you need a set of the three amigo - all AIV and black - just to put the rumour mill to rest once and for all with regard to IQ

but this???
"Go out and take photos??"
this'll never catch on

You are being silly today, Sandy. Just continue what you do, and be thankful for what you have. You are a tremendous asset to this forum. Thank you for helping me, so many times.
Regards,
Terry

My 43 is # 656, my 77 is #329; still on the lookout for a sub-1000 31 at a reasonable price. (my 31 is a MIJ black one in the 23,000's)
