going to the shutter is maybe not the right questions or answer
since you want something higher lets say you want to fotograph birds and you want your 100 iso you need your 1/2000 but even with good daylight thats useally only possible with a F1.4 or something
what you want is a F4 , iso 100 and 1/2000
going into a church lets say you dont have a OIS and medium format what you need for the room is prolly a F16 depending on the lens but certainly higher then F11
what you also need handheld is 1/60 , not carrying a tripod and lamps
indoors without flash and lets say you want F5.6 you need a high iso 3200 then you got a bad image quality
having a room in a curch even if you bring a flashlight you could not light out the room a tripod would be ok but then HDR its questionable to carry this all with you lets say you marry and the people move a 1/60 + would be good 1/1000 for perfection
having sports on a soccer field you want like a F3.2 and 1/1000 that you only reach that in very good light also it is questionable if you where in the shadows (like skateboards or something)
if the lens can bend the light to have more iso in certain situations it would be something very useful for image quality
also the rumor has to end that a F stop is strictly related how wide open the lens is there is so many wrong information about this on the internet even on fotographers videos or websites
like you have a 10 mm frontlens and its open 9 mm
the pentax smc F4.5 its first lens element is fully open and F4.5 is the maximum light it reachs
(the front lens is as big as the body , the front metal is getting bigger for the forward part but even if you take only the front metal and compare the opening its far more then F4,5)
Lichtstärke (Fotografie) ? Wikipedia
here is a other example if F1,0 would be the maximum that can be reached thats also not true this lens is an example for that:
mitakon 35mm f/0.95
i would be willing to carry a bigger lens if it provide a better light strength and bend them in a way that not only the bokeh goes up
