I think that you have zeroed in on the crucial part of this in making a decision. The problem is that I could not determine this unless I bought it first.

You all probably would know the answer to this, but I assume that there would be a couple of ways that one would go about removing the K-mount, one that carefully preserves the connections etc. and the other not so much. I have never taken a lens apart before so just guessing. It’s just had the auto aperture feature so not sure what was behind the mount when removed.

Maybe a Topcon or Pen F mount.
