Lens hood info for SMC Pentax K-50mm F1.4

Hi all, just looking for advice on a suitable 52mm hood for a SMC Pentax K 50mm 1.4.

The correct hood for this lens is listed as product code PH-R52 but I can't seem to find anything similar.

If any of you who have this lens could tell me what hood you are using It would be most appreciated.
Cheers

I've used a rubber hood similar to this one:

B+W 52mm #900 Rubber Lens Hood 65-069600 B&H Photo Video

Gets the job done and is nice because it's collapsible.

It's not particularly easy to find, but I use the original clip on hood from the SMC K 85/1.8

I use a cheap 52mm generic metal hood.
Costed me a couple of $ including shipping from China.

I like the collapsible rubber ones like Adam posted. Take up less room, and you get some bumper protection, especially when collapsed - think in the bag.

That one should do fine. I managed to track down one of the originals but at first I used a generic. If you are using APSc camera you can use a somewhat longer hood.

Thanks - I'm on full frame and have a bunch of similar third party hoods than mostly work fine. Also have a few rubber ones (mainly on my zooms).

Would this hood not vignette on the 50mm? I have it and it's designated for use on 85/1.8, 100/4 bellows, and 105/2.8 - all teles. The original hoods for 50mm and 55mm were wider for the increased angle of view.

I've used it a lot with my K 50/1.4 on 35mm film cameras and it doesn't vignette at all.

+1. Adam is correct. Very nice hood. I have 49, 52, and 55mm hoods from B&W, and find them well worth the money.

Search for a file I uploaded years ago called hoodcalc.

It allows you to find the maximum length of a hood for a given diameter. While rubber hoods work to a certain extent they may be much wider than the minimum, meaning you are still a little restricted shooting into the light.
