Our review of this lens also has FF tests. It works great!

If you usually crop your pictures, dont bother with the conversion. It works fine as it is

I did the conversion and think it was both simple and well worth the improvement in the corners. If you can figure out how to use a screw driver and are careful, this is really pretty straight forward. The old baffle slides out easy enough, and the new one fits in just fine too. I found the fit about perfect.

I am the one who wrote the article/review.

I love the modification. The 60-250 has become a much more versatile lens, and is just as good optically. After more than a year, I have nothing but good words to say. Go without worries.

Which flavor of baffle are you using? I have both, but started with the one with the frame, and I think I'm going to stick with this one based on what I'm seeing so far.

The one with the rectangle cutout seems to have a very small positive impact on sharpness, and an obvious negative impact on vignetting. So I use the purely cylindrical one with the circular opening.

I must confess to suffering from advanced stages of pixel peeping, and went with the rectangular one for this reason. So far, I haven't found the vignetting to be an issue beyond what I could address in post if I felt like it. That said, it was so easy to do, I still might play with the circular one. My baffles have a nice snug interference fit, and I didn't feel any need to glue them together. This makes it really easy to switch between them.

I designed the baffle that was used in the Pentax Forums revew. I may have a few printed ones around here. If not can always print some up quickly. The modification is fairly simply. Just a set of JIS screwdrivers and work in a very clean area. I use my 60-250 more on the K-1 than the K3.

I'm even seeing 60-250s on eBay described as modified for FF by changing the baffle.
